BlockchainSpace Weekly Update: Exciting Partnerships, Conferences, Updates, and More!
Greetings, GUIDLers! So much has happened since our last update, and we are very excited to share some new BlockchainSpace developments with you! With all the changes in crypto happening every day, we are proud to say we are continuously building both online and in person to bring the best opportunities to our community.
First on the list, on July 18, we analyzed 379 different blockchain games to find which ones have the most extensive Twitter communities. We firmly believe that community is the backbone of every crypto project, so this analysis will assist us in understanding what some gaming communities do well and what we can do better to serve our millions of gamers and thousands of guilds. You can see a breakdown of the biggest gaming communities here.
Next up, BlockchainSpace founder, Peter Ing, arrived in France to attend the 5th EthCC from July 19–21 at the Maison de la Mutualité. EthCC, or Ethereum Community Conference, is the largest European Ethereum event. The event focuses specifically on the technology and community surrounding the Ethereum network.
Peter attended three intense days of conferences, networking sessions, and learning sessions to bring more innovative practices and ideas to BlockchainSpace.
On the same day Peter arrived in France, we updated our community on the current state of the play-to-earn ecosystem. We believe play-to-earn gaming is on its way to completely disrupting the billion-dollar gaming industry and will reinvent the traditional game economy loop to extend over to the real world. There are dozens of gaming, guild, and e-sport communities, and we are proud to share this space with them as we revolutionize the field.
Next on our list, we held an AMA with MetaRace on July 19 to discuss MetaRace’s standout features among other NFT and GameFi projects. Hosted by Apollo, of BSPC and speaker Ollie Edwards, of MetaRace they discussed the future of this competitive horseracing game and the play-to-earn features that they are providing to gamers and guilds alike. They also touched on the role of good marketing strategies in making successful projects. Exciting future for this fast-paced game!
The Q2E was just as competitive! The community raced for the leaderboards as the as MetaRace doubled down on the price pool. Its always fun to learn about alpha and interesting trivia from our partners. Like did you know that there’s an IRL horse named the same?!
Next, on July 20, we released data on CyBall’s performance over the past four months after a deep dive into everything in this revolutionary play-to-earn game that blends football and NFTs. This data covers everything from average player earnings to projections on ROI to the in-game performance of each NFT type. These valuable insights will surely make many guild managers very happy!
A few days later on July 22, we announced our partnership with Orbofi, a massive social metaverse that allows users to create their own metaverse and social tokens! With team members from Ubisoft, Epik, Microsoft, ThreeFold, and more, this project empowers gamers, communities, brands, DAOs, game developers, and more to create something truly wonderful: a social metaverse of their own. We are proud to call them our partner, and we are excited to see what the future holds!
Later that day, we announced details on the Philippine Blockchain Week coming up in November. This event will be an epic clash of technology, finance, and gaming, and any attendee will be at the forefront of the next digital revolution. The biggest names in DeFi will be in attendance, and you better believe we’ll be there to lead the way!
Last but certainly not least, BSPC attended CONQuestPHL on July 23–24! This exciting conference has served as leading the way in gaming and pop culture since 2017, and we are honored to have been there to meet you all.
It was great seeing familiar faces there, builders we are working with to bridge the gap between web2 and web3.
More than 30,000 people attended this celebration of tech, gaming, DeFi, and more, and we are already looking forward to CONQuestPHL 2023!
