BlockchainSpace and Sandbox Academy Launch the SandKwela Online Course for Guilds and Gamers
Caught wind of the NFT craze? That’s no surprise. Everyone and their mom has been abuzz with the hype for Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). If you’ve ever wondered how to create your own NFTs, you’ve come to the right place. The opportunity to learn how you can make truly unique digital assets is upon us!
BlockchainSpace and Sandbox Academy are thrilled to announce their onboarding for the third batch of students for SandKwela, a FREE online course that aims to provide users the ability to become a Web3 creator today. After each course, top trainees will be selected to add to the pool of artists for Sandbox Academy. Currently, each batch consists of seven students, and, after two successful batches, we are eager to bring in the third!
With SandKwela, you will have the opportunity to learn everything you need to know about creating NFTs on VoxEdit, the leading software that allows you to create and animate your own voxel-based NFTs. SandKwela will give you the essential tools and information to become an artist and entrepreneur, and jumpstart your future in Web3.
SandKwela offers several modules across 5 days. These modules include Introduction to VoxEdit — with students immersing themselves in VoxEdit features..
Training starts off light, focusing on teaching trainees how to create simple assets. The Advanced Concepts module introduces trainees to scaling; where they’ll learn how to get the proportions for their assets working with the environment. This leg of the course prepares students to create simple animations.
For the Architectural and Environment Design module, students are assigned a game or environment with the task of creating a suitable asset for them.
The Character and Creature Design class, a favorite among our students, teaches the fundamentals of translating character ideas into a living, breathing NFT. Trainees will have a chance to let their imagination go wild — crafting a unique character that’s completely their own, using industry-proven techniques. And at the end of the course awaits a contest!
Students will learn everything they need to know to successfully publish their own NFT assets. From object boundaries, trimming, limitations, and even proportionality recommendations.
Through this course, we hope to highlight every aspect of the entrepreneurial spirit of each student. Upon completion, our students will understand the ins and outs of simple and compound assets and how to create an animated asset from scratch. Our three trainers have backgrounds in lead game design as well as interior design, and they aim to elevate your knowledge of Web3 art by applying their skills and expertise to take you to new worlds within your imagination.
This course is for Filipino Voxel artists interested in learning how to create, market, and sell their own NFTs with VoxEdit. The NFTs you create can be sold on Sandbox’s marketplace or used to discover new worlds across the metaverse.
